Simond shakes up bivvying with its game-changing Condensless fabric.

Simond, the iconic mountain sports brand, is proud to unveil its latest innovation: Condensless, a brand new component developed to drastically reduce condensation inside bivvy tents. This breakthrough allows Simond to design lightweight, single-wall tents without compromising on comfort.

A clever solution to a classic problem

If you’ve ever spent the night in a tent, you’ve probably dealt with condensation - those annoying water droplets that form inside your shelter overnight. Here’s what happens: when the outside temperature drops, the walls of the tent cool down. Meanwhile, warm and humid air from your breath and body rises inside the tent, hits those cold surfaces, and condenses into water. Classic bivvy issue. Up until now, the go-to solution were double-wall tents - one layer for weather, another for sleeping. While that keeps you from touching the moisture directly, it doesn’t stop condensation from forming in the first place.

Enter Condensless: next-gen fabric tech

Simond’s team set out to build a fabric that tackles the root cause. After years of R&D, countless lab trials and 14 weeks of field testing, the result is Condenless - a high-tech, multi-layered fabric built to keep things dry inside.

Here’s how it works:

  • Inner coating: waterproof and breathable to limit moisture build-up
  • Polyester layer: gives the fabric strength and long-term durability
  • Aluminium film: helps stabilize the fabric’s temperature to stay above dew point
  • Water-repellent finish: stops external moisture from soaking in

During tests, tents made with Condensless fabric avoided condensation in 72% of cases. Standard stands? Just 6%.

A look that turns heads

Simond didn’t just focus on performance, they made sure Condensless stands out. Its signature aluminised look says, this tent means business. No gimmicks, no overdesign. Just honest innovation that speaks for itself.

Why go Condensless?

By cutting down on condensation, Condensless opens the door to single-wall tent designs with major perks:

  • Lighter to carry: no second layer means less weight, only 1.5kg
  • Faster set-up: one wall, one pole, job done
  • Dries quicker: wake up dry, pack up fast

What’s next?

The MT900 2-person tent is just the beginning. Simond’s designers are already working on expanding the Condensless range to other models. Big things ahead.
