Decathlon says goodbye to fog.
New generation anti-fog treatment for goggles is three times more effective than current standards.
January 6, 2026

Fog in goggles is a real hindrance for swimmers. Loss of visibility, discomfort, stress, technical errors, demotivation, Decathlon unveils its new generation anti-fog innovation that will change swimmers' lives.
Why does fogging occur?
Fogging forms due to a temperature difference between your body and the water. This temperature variation causes condensation on the inside of the lenses. The result: fog appears, vision becomes blurry, and frustration increases.
New anti-fog treatment is 3x more effective
This new generation anti-fog treatment is three times more effective than current standards. Behind the Bfast and Bfit goggles lies cutting-edge technology: an anti-fog varnish based on nanometric molecules. Ultra-smooth and ultra-performing, these molecules form a hydrophilic barrier that captures condensation and creates a continuous film of water, thus preventing fog formation. A real game-changer for swimmers.
Tested and approved by swimmers
To measure the durability and effectiveness of this new anti-fog treatment, Decathlon engineers developed a testing protocol on 500 swimmers for over a year.
Olivier Gerbron - Winner of the Klagenfurt IRONMAN. "I swam without the slightest fog or stress. I was already using the Bfast anti-fog goggles in training and I knew they wouldn't let me down. In a race of this intensity, it's a huge plus to be able to count on goggles that really deliver. They contributed to the victory!"
Long-lasting performance
Protection Plus: scratch-resistant lenses allow goggles to be cleaned without altering their effectiveness. This high- performance surface treatment extends the product's lifespan and guarantees optimal anti-fog performance throughout its uses. The result: zero fog even after numerous sessions.
For All Swimmers
An ultra-high-performance anti-fog treatment is available for regular swimmers on the Bfast goggles, but also for more occasional swimmers thanks to the BFit goggles.
To complement this new technology, the engineers have also developed for the Bfast model an ultra-precise adjustment system that allows the distance between the lenses to be adjusted to the nearest millimeter, to adapt perfectly to the face shape of every swimmer.

The 100-500-900 Convention: A Strategic Roadmap
Ultimately, Decathlon’s numbering system serves as a "performance ladder" that simplifies the shopping experience. By categorising products into 100 (Beginner/Essential), 500 (Intermediate/Regular), and 900 (Advanced/Expert), they ensure that technical innovations—like this new anti-fog treatment—are introduced where they matter most. While the 500-tier offers the breakthrough technology for consistent hobbyists, the 900-tier pushes the engineering further with elite-level customisation, allowing customers to pay exactly for the level of technical precision their performance demands.
